There are people in this world who step out of their own comfort and sacrifice time and heart to protect the innocent. All of them deserve to be honored. Here, I list a few links to places who do this work for horses - and some of them turn it into even more: they team up rescued horses with kids - of all ages - kids who have been wounded by life. And in that partnership, both horse and kid find something new: hope, joy, confidence, love.

Both Crystal Peaks and Proud Spirit have published books full of stories of hope, courage and triumph. I think we have enough books about failure, heartbeak and the dark side of human kind. The fight these folks have put up to put their hearts where most peope don't dare to tread is a magnificent thing. Read their books and stand with them for a moment, and you will find yourself in a new place.
